Hello everyone,

You are receiving this email because your project has been selected to
take part in an effort by the PHP QA Team to make sure that your project
still works with PHP versions to-be-released. With this we hope to make
sure that you are either aware of things that might break, or to make
sure we don't introduce any strange regressions.

The fourth alpha for 5.5 was just released and can be
downloaded from:

    http://qa.php.net/

The Windows binaries are available at

    http://windows.php.net/qa/

PHP 5.5.0 contains a lot of new features and bugfixes.
PHP5.5.0alpha4 also adds some fix commits against
alpha3 and introduce new features such as class name resolution as scalar
or the DateTimeImmutable object.
Please test your code carefully with PHP 5.5.0alpha4
to help us release a stable new PHP version.

For a list of new features and bugfixes that you can target in your
testing, please
refer to the NEWS file:

https://github.com/php/php-src/blob/php-5.5.0alpha4/NEWS<https://github.com/php/php-src/blob/php-5.5.0alpha1/NEWS>

The next release will begin the beta stage.
For your information, we won't accept any new feature in the betas.
Betas are meant to consolidate the code, fix the bugs, and improve quality
to lead to a stable release. The first beta is planned for February 7th.

In case you think that other projects should also receive this kind
of emails, please let us know privately, and we will add them to the
list of projects to contact.

Regards,
Julien Pauli and David Soria Parra
