Yes, sir. I even changed permissions on e:\PHP to everyone and made
inheritable, i.e., I removed all permissions, then reinstated full control to
everyone, inheritable by child objects. I'm not as conversant with permissions
and such as I perhaps should be, but as near as I can tell, anyone can do
anything with/to e:/php and all directories & files below it.
That brings to mind a question: should I change the session folder to a
location within the web structure, e.g., f:\inetpub\wwwroot\sessiondata? Or
does that really matter? This business has me questioning everything I thought
I knew about permissions <sigh />.
Or is there a better configuration for save_handler than file? I'm open to try
just about anything but standing on my head and whistling 'Dixie' <chortle />.

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get unlink to work with UNC names under windows?
Can't seem to get it to work with PHP4 at all.
Thanks,

I haven't tried it myself, but remember that you tend to run into some
lovely permissions issues if you're running the script via a web server. And
even if you're executing a script from the command line, I'd check to ensure
that the user you're running the script as has -explicit- full control on
that share (in both the sharing and security sections) and try it again.

I have installed PHP 5.0.4 on my desktop along with Apache 2.0.54. They both
seem to be working, as when I bring up the Apache Service Monitor, it shows
"Apache/2.0.54 (Win32) PHP/5.0.4 mod_jk2/2.0.4.
However, when I try to test the PHP installation, by setting up a test.php file
in the Apache htdocs folder, which contains <?php phpinfo(); ?> and click on
the file to run it, it brings up a blank browser window. The browser window
just sits there, while the cursor shows busy, and flickers. Nothing else
happens, and I end up having to close the browser window to stop whatever is
happening.
Probably I have some of the configeration wrong, but I don't know where to
start looking for the problem. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks
-Tom
