I prefer keeping the "Extending PHP 3" section in
the manual because:

  a) Historical reasons. Even the php/fi manual
     still lives on php.net
  b) PHP 3 is not dead. Some still use it, maybe
     they prefer the license?
  c) Too much information isn't bad. And the devel
     information may be seperated from the users
     information soon anyways.

There is an entire section on extending PHP 4, and
only one appendix for extending PHP 3.

  * http://www.php.net/manual/en/phpdevel.php
  * http://www.php.net/manual/en/zend.php

What's so bad (stupid) about that? Maybe phpdevel
should "see also" the zend docs? Or similar.
