I'm Under WIndows 2000 Server with Cygwin. I don't have that problem several
days ago!

Currently I manually disable the checking of PHP in configure script to make
it work... I don't like to to this anyhow...

looks like some shell code portaibility issue

what kind and version of operating system are you using?
