From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Operating system: PHP version: 4.3.0-pre1 PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: file documentation a little inaccurate?
The documentation for the file() function does not state explicitly that file will return false if the file does not exist. This is rather confirmed and can be cross-checked by looking at the readfile page, but it might be worth adding it though. Then, shouldnt the result data type be "mixed" instead of "array"? -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=20047&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20047&r=isapi -- PHP Documentation Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
