The online manual now refers to the old function names in a note, but: 1) you cannot search on the old names (e.g. www.php.net/ociplogon doesn't work) 2) the User Contributed Notes for the old names are not available Both features IMHO would be useful, and the latter is invaluable for PHP 4.x users: I think they should be restored, or at least a link to the notes made available. Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2004-03-24 11:05:41] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Docu problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2004-03-24 10:54:28] jimdoolittle at comcast dot net Description: ------------ The function ocilogon() and dozens of other Oracle OCI8 functions that don't have an underscore in their names seem to have gone missing from the English online PHP Manual. Google has a cached manual page for ocilogon(), for example, that was updated as recently as 9 March 2004 (see http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:Bv_g7HLnMEIJ:www.php.net/OCILogon+ocilogon+site:www.php.net&hl=en&ie=UTF-8), but that page is now gone from www.php.net. Searching the php.net Function List gets you "Sorry, but the function ocilogon is not in the online manual." Have these function pages been deleted from the manual? If so, I can't find that documented anywhere on php.net. Hope I'm not missing something obvious here. Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=27676&edit=1
