I found the similar one in peardoc repository.

It seems that the files whose name contains "log" has been silently
removed from CVS repository.
Are these intended operations?
Definitely not! We've had another file missing. I recommend that we
shutdown CVS until we figure out what happens. (Unfortunately cant do
that myself now as my plane boards now).
Well, I made a backup of all the files right after it happened the first
time, and checking that, these files are also missing from that backup,
so I don't think this is a new instance. But I am still completely
stumped as to what happened June 15 at exactly 21:00.
