Hello,

This sort of widget lives here:

   http://php.net/tips

The widget itself (if he wants to make it publicly available) yes, but
the XML file he requested should be part of our "downloadable docs" in
my opinion.

Please evaluate what's there now and make suggestions/improvements/
additions. And there is an XML file that lists the PHP functions but
I'd wait a few months for the new build system rather than fix it up
now. Check CVS here (namely, for funcindex.xml):

I agree, we should probably wait for few weeks/months - but if we are
talking about 5-10lines...
The funcindex.xml is almost useless outside of docbook context and
isn't really "officially supported", plus its inconsistent (with
ragards to methods) and not really _valid_ xml (undefined entities...)
:(

   http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/phpdoc/

It's difficult to determine what it means to be a PHP function. Do
all functions in PECL count? Or just the documented ones? Or any? I'd
say all but it's difficult to say (or parse) for certain. Please
continue this discussion on the phpdoc list only. And we may want to
link that function list from doc.php.net as that's a little more
friendly than viewvc.cgi.

Why not phpweb? We do get questions like this regularly and I think
this is something that "bunch" of people wish to get their hands on.
