Hi everyone
I have received a "ezmlm warning". It says my email address bounces back messages or something like that. What is the meaning of this? And if there is an error what should I do to solve it?

Greetings Pedram,

I'm unsure what the problem is (or was) but I also suffered from it... but it seems fine now.

There was some sort of illegal attachment sent. It was probably rejected by most servers and thus re ping to see if the email address was dead.

That's my best guess.

Maybe that was part of it, but yesterday I didn't receive several valid emails from several php.net lists. The ezmlm warning messages referred to missed messages, and emitted permanent errors like:

- phi...@roshambo.org (while not connected): 554 5.4.4 Domain Lookup Failed
- phi...@roshambo.org (reading BANNER): 554 5.4.4 Domain Lookup Failed

The problem appeared php.net specific because emails from other locations were making it through, but at the same time I dismissed it as a temporary issue (and my total lack of knowledge on the subject doesn't help).

Regards,
Philip
