In any case, before I get started on that, I have a question about something
I found at
http://php.net/manual/en/control-structures.switch.php
regarding the two Note blocks near the beginning of the page.
Is it proper (or conforming to a MoS) for a Note block to say "Note:"
followed by "Note that ..."? Seems a bit redundant.

Couple of years ago we changed Docbook rendering application and
styles. In the old one obscure rules dictated if the note would have a
leading 'note:' or not, wheras in the new one it always says 'Note:
...'.
So, there may be some cases where a note starts with 'Note: Note that..' :)

What is "MoS" anyway? :)

Oh, sorry. Maybe the term "MoS" isn't widely used outside of Wikipedia, which is where I picked it up. It stands for "Manual of Style". Thanks for your explanation though.
