We would very much appreciate any and all help we can get to update the Windows installation docs. Like you said, they are very outdated and quite frankly utter crap. The documentations are written in XML (DocBook), if you find it to hard to learn I'm sure someone on this list could help you with the markup if you write the actual instructions. I'm a bit unsure how up2date our dochowto is (http://php.net/dochowto), there has been a lot going on here, but its at the very least a good read.
