I had the same issue. The database user for groupware will need Lock Tables permission. If you use phpMyAdmin, then edit the groupware database user permission for the groupware database and check "LOCK TABLES" for the Database-Specific priveledges under "Administration" group.Sent from the phpGroupWare forums @ forums.phpGroupWare.org
