Hi Simon,
The same error message appeared with all of the releases I had been tried. A character return is inserted to the beginning of all the responses from php. so I guess the subject of this discussion is no longer appropriate, but i don't know how to rename it. after a series of tests on the sca_php code (which all appear OK), i suddenly remembered that i also installed SAM recently. (p.s. SAM - Simple Asynchronous Messaging, php extension for communicating with Messaging Servers) then i disabled SAM from php.ini, and the error message disappeared. I could never thought it's something to do with SAM, because the sca examples did not call or reference to SAM at all. thanks very much for your help, I am gonna rise a pecl bug to SAM.
