Hello everybody, Do you remember our PilCon meetings from a few years ago?
Back then, it was difficult to find a schedule that suited all time zones. We ended up with a complicated system of alternating early and late shows. Now I have a new idea: What if we simply extend the meeting, so it spans most time zones? Here’s what I will do: Every Friday, from UTC 09:00 to 17:00, I will run a Jitsi Meet session at: https://meeting.itship.ch/picolisp (thanks Andreas!) I call it Fridays for Functions :) The session will be open all day. Anybody can join at any time during that window. I’ll keep my microphone and video muted as long as nobody is there, and just go about my daily routine. If people show up, we can have informal talks, I can answer questions, discuss code, or demonstrate practical use cases. This UTC time range matches, for example: 10:00 - 18:00 in Berlin 17:00 - 01:00 in Tokyo 01:00 - 09:00 Pacific time Let’s try it! It’s not a big effort for anyone, but it might be fun. ☺/ A!ex -- UNSUBSCRIBE: mailto:[email protected]?subject=Unsubscribe
