As most of you know we have been trying to switch revision control system since... forever. First to Subversion, but when that was almost finalized the shouts for DVCS got to loud and time was spent arguing the pros and cons of SVN vs Mercurial vs git.
git won out quite some time ago, and the switch will be done on Sunday. If you have outstanding changes and don't want to manually patch them into git you should check them in before Friday 1800 CEST. After that CVS will be switched to read-only mode. As currently with CVS the entire git repository will be writable for everyone and is accessed via the same ssh keys used against pelix. More details on that in a separate mail later this week.
