There is initial support for floppy drives over USB. Read only seems to
work fine, but there's no guarantee about the validity of the data if
you write to them.

Take a look at http://www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/ for full
instructions on getting the backport to work.
Also look at http://www.linux-usb.org/ for further information on getting
Linux running with USB.
