If you're using a package manager, you may be able to find a package already built for you. For example, if you're using Red Hat Package Manager (RPM), you should find an RPM called "prc-tools-0.5.0-1.i386.rpm" (http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/contrib/libc5/i386/prc-tools-0.5.0-1.i386.html ). I'm sure there'll be a simliar-named package for Debian Linux. I don't know about similar packages being avaliable for other Unix-like OSes, or other distributions of Linux. However, using a pre-packaged version means you can get on with compiling software for your PalmOS device, instead of mucking around with compiling tools for your Linux box.
