in the past, when I had a PalmPro, I have installed (and enjoyed using) TopGun
WingMan, TopGun Postman and
TopGun Telnet, used with a 'normal' PSTN modem from Palm.
OK, so now I have a Palm V, with IrDa, and a (loaned) Motorola L Series+ WAP GSM phone
(it might be called
differently in other places, Motorola TimePort?)
and, it seems Palm can drive the Motorola modem via IrDa, so: I have NOT followed the
Palm apps offerings for a while,
all I want, is apps for ocassional use, I don't aim (at this time...) to use the palm
as my main device:
what are current recommandations for:
(plain) Telnet ? Browser ? POP3/SMTP clinet ?
also, I see palm have REMOVED all TCP/IP 'troubleshooting' tools from the stack, are
there any others ? (only info and
finger are left...)
