My system is a SPARC Solaris 8.  My gcc is gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)

Nothing unusual that I know of.  pilot-link is one of the few packages out
of literally a hundred or more from the internet that i use that exhibits
problems with my environment, browser, etc.
