Hello Claudio, Davide, Richard,

my name is Honza Firich and I am responsible for StarOffice 8 European
locales testing at Sun Microsystems Prague (together with Petr
Dudacek).

This e-mail is intended to help you with understanding TCM tool.
You can access TCM at:
http://www.sunvirtuallab.com:8001/tcm2/tcm_login.cgi

I'd like to ask you if you are able to access TCM and if so have you
tried to work with it?

The latest test cases in TCM are for build m65. We are going to
provide test cases for the new builds soon.
French community has translated test cases into French, added more
test cases that are important to the community, etc. If you need, you
can update test cases as well.

The goal should be to get familiar with TCM using build m65 and its
test cases (i.e. perform just some tests on build m65).
You should learn how to log-in, update test cases, get log-ins for your
community contributors, assign testers, modify/add/translate test
cases if community prefers test cases in your language, etc.
So this build tests should be a pilot for you to learn TCM. Once
a new build is ready you will be able to utilize TCM during full tests
of the build.

I also would like to ask a question about your resources.
Could you please send me a list of platforms that are available in
your communities?
Please check the test matrix in TCM and let us know what platforms
you have available for testing (click on Test Assignment Maintenance
-> OpenOffice.org(m65)). This will help us to allocate our resources
for testing. The idea is that communities will test what they have
resources for and Sun will test the rest.

I think we can have an IRC meeting to discuss all of this. I'd
like to suggest to have the meeting in the beginning of next week.

If there is anything related to TCM or SO/OO.o testing cooperation
that you'd like to discuss, please don't hesitate to send an e-mail
to me or Petr.

Regards,
Honza
