Subject: [pinhole-discussion] 35 mm body f.l. determination I hope I did it right - I took a steel rule as well as a depth caliper and measured the distance from the film pressure plate at the back of the camera...I declared this to be the focal plane. I measured to where I anticipated my pinhole disk would mount and took that distance as the f.l. I came up with 38 mm. Then I went to one of those pinhole calculator websites (hopefully someone has given you a link already) and picked a diameter that gave me enough coverage to illuminate the entire 35 mm negative. It wasn't 'optimal', but I hope it works...still trying to finish the first roll...it's either raining or I'm running late in the morning so I don't stop to take any shots. I hope it's somewhere in range...I used a 250 micron (0.25 mm) hole. (bought it commercially).
