I use a UMAX 2200 flatbed scanner with transparency lid. I scan in full color a monochrome negative. I use Micrografx Picture Publisher more than Photoshop. The scan comes up as a positive with usually a purple tint. I comvert the color to 0% saturation then colorize to "31" brownish hue and 12% saturation. That gives a warm tone to the video image and the prints. I find using "greyscale" does not give nearly as smooth or pleasing tones. Richard Heather
