Actually, that's how I implemented it at first. It used to be that way, and the code is still in place, it's basically just a switch to flip on. The reason I deactivated it is that: - it does not behave very well for big images or low screen resolutions - it annoys some users (as you've seen, already two replies saying that :) But technically, the code is there. The custom automated gallery that I made [1] plugs into lightbox if it's available. I'm just not sure what to do with those huge images and unpredictable visitor resolutions. Oh. Shoot. I think I just remembered one additional reason: it uses scriptaculous just like the accordions (expander thingies), but the versions are different/incompatible and induce headaches. Lightbox was "one more dependency to maintain" for not so much benefit. As for helping with the website, if you can spot things to improve, and maybe even help coding/maintaining it (or making its code... better), having your help could be nice indeed! I actually version-control my websites (with Bazaar, just because it's fun), so it would be possible to maintain it cooperatively (with branches and so on). Another thing that can also be done (but looks a bit less glorious) is to clean up/organize the wiki, because it's the jungle (#1 reason why I made the website to begin with)! P.s.: I am only a hobbyist web developer, my websites are quite basic, so I'm pretty sure your skills surpass mine by far; your personal home page is an indication of that :) P.p.s.: you wrote "VirutalBox" on ?page=programming ;) [1]: http://code.ecchi.ca/kiddo-lightbox-gallery/
