As you folks may have noticed, I made lots of bug triaging today. This
reminded me of a limitation we currently face: we don't have
precise-enough bugzilla components for pitivi, which means that they all
get filed in the same places and it becomes a huge hairball.
If you look at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=pitivi you
can see that we have 88 bugs filed on "general" and 101 bugs filed on
"user-interface".
I am hereby proposing that we add the following new "components" (I'm
open to any suggestions) so that bugs can be filed more precisely:
source list, timeline, rendering, preferences, playback, transitions,
effects, titling, documentation, codecs.
Edward, could you create them?
I'd then be more than happy to triage UI bugs and rendering bugs into
these categories.
