You can do it in two steps: use pitivi to put the sequence of the audio
together the way you want it, then render using highest sound quality of
your original.
Then use ffmpeg to convert from the audio/video pair to just the audio. i.e.
*ffmpeg -i pitivi_render.mp4 final_audio.mp3*
You may want to tweak the ffmpeg cmd to use the best audio options your
original can afford.
