You know what is scary, the more you read re: medical articles, the more you understand what they say!
 
If you prolactin is elevated, the bromocriptine should actually help, if you do indeed have a prolactinoma. It could take many months for your levels to start coming down, but as the levels start coming down, your gonotropin levels (sex hormones) should start normalizing, and alot of  hormonal problems related to that should start stabilizing.
 
Typically your thyroid will need to be stabilized, your doctor will also want to work on your hyperprolactinemia, and then keep an eye on how you are doing over time.
 
Take a list of questions with you to your appointment and ask you doctor for specifics regarding your treatment plan!
