Thanks so much for the reply Minnie.

I knew when posting the question that the odds are stacked against me in finding a surgeon in Canada, but I had to try - just to cover all my bases. It was hard enough to convince my parents to go see Dr. Friedman, I'm having a harder time instilling that most likely I'm going to have to head across the border again. I've already found a couple of others (from the Cushing's-Support site) from up here who went to Dr.F's pit surgeon, and the other to Dr. Jho in Pittsburgh, both were quite pleased, but had to shell out quite a bit initially...

You mentioned NIH...how does one get a referal there?

Agreed that the Cushing's phenotype is rare. After 4 years of worsening symptoms, only now do I have a few obvious symptoms like stretch marks and funny looking gut. I never had the moon face or the hump. I even looked at Cushing's a year ago and thought - nah! That's not me - even though I had a couple of obvious symptoms like cuts taking longer to heal and thinning skin.

How did they figure out your Cushing's if you didn't look "Cush"? I understand ketoconzle can be used in the interim...did they put you on that?

Sorry....so many questions, I'm only two months new to cush-world ;)
