It is really important to be connected with someone who understands pituitary
disorders. After the initial diagnosis and treatment, it is not necessary to
make many appointments and much of the treatment can be managed long distance.
The MD gets the results of your blood tests and adjusts your treatment
accordingly. I am followed by a pituitary center 2 hours and 45 minutes from my
home. I see a local endo for routine followup care but with the understanding
is that he will follow the treatment recommended by the pituitary center. There
is a REALLY BIG difference between the knowledge of the endo at the pituitary
center and my local endo. The 3 hour drive is worth it. Remember that this is
about your health and your future.
