hi there, I'm also in Washington State, I live in Spanaway, where are you? I
had a tumor removed about 10 yrs ago, I did really well for about 8 yrs, then
things started happening. My thyroid wasn' t working like it should. After more
tests, found out all my pituitary functions were way below normal. I have spent
the last two years trying to get everything functioning correctly. In the
meantime I lost my job, due to all my symptoms. I'm starting to feel better, I
got on some new medications, and I'm watching my diet. Trying to do anything
that will help me feel better. The end result from my surgery is that I'm
panhypopit. But with the right meds, I'm doing ok. I went back to work in
August, it's a great place to work, and they are supportive of all the
employees and it's a real positive place. The surgery has changed since I had
it, sounds like recovery isn't as bad as it use to be. Just pay attention to
how you feel, keep track of any symptoms that
develope. I have diabetes insipidious, that started immediatley after
surgery, I will have it forever. But I can lead a normal life. I have had to
make a few changes. I dont' push myself. When I'm tired and feeling worn out, I
rest. Fatigue is a big part of this whole thing. I use to feel way more tired
than I do now. It comes and goes. When I feel good, I get as much accomplished
as possible. So what kind of symptoms are you having? Who is your Endo? I see
Dr. Stonesiffer in Federal Way. Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to
ask. Good luck, and don't feel like your alone, we have all been there, and we
understand. Melissa
