Hi, I just went to see my new endo for the first time this week and I was
surprised by her thoroughness and professionism since she just graduated med
school. Unlike my old endos I think she is not afraid of complicated cases and
actually concerned and wants to know about whats still making me sick. I am so
happy! She will do many tests including bloods and heart. There was one
thing that took me by surprise and it was that she believes that since i lived
with GH over 100 my body became dependant of such a high amount. She thinks
that the Sandostatin Lar 30mg injection which brought my GH to 1.06 is actually
working too well and my body wants more GH. Maybe average levels arent the
same for everyone. I will have to wait for the tests and then the results and
then she will give me her opinion on what hormone replacements are required for
me. My question here is has anyone experienced their treatment of Sandostatin
Lar working too good? Her idea is to lower my dosage or completely stop it.
Also a possibility is GH replacements. This is a surprise to me. Is it for
you? Gary
