A fluid leak can occur at any time in the first year after surgery. They have
an awesome seal on the market though that has drastically decreased leakage
issues. Check with your surgeon and see if he uses it. I am sure he will know
what you are talking about.

HUGS,
Tina

Wow. I am way confused about some things. Why did your doctor wait 4 months
before doing surgery? Why did it take a month for them to find the fluid leak?
I am a little scared because I am to have surgery april 21st and they told me
they would be looking for any leakage but I was under the impression they look
for the leak while you are still in the hospital not a month later? How are
you doing now? I will be on sandostatin shots after surgery. What is that
like? Injecting yourself? Does it hurt? Did you get sick? Do you have good
support? I'm new to this bus so please forgive the megaton of questions.

thanks
Valerie
