----------------------------------------------------------- From: Willard1H Message 2 in Discussion Hi, Karen, You said, "I know 2mm isnt very big but... i still have the feeling that the tumor is the cause no matter how big it is." Makes sense to me. Your tumor (size of a rice grain, maybe?) is increasing inside the tightly packed space of the skull. Mine is a macro prolactinoma, about the size of a lemon, that I believe has grown that big over decades. My doctors are amazed that I can hold down a job and even get through the day, with little more than tiny all-day headaches. Sure, I've had years with severe pains, or mild symptoms. And bad memory probs, Apathy Syndrome, etc. But I believe it's the RATE of tumor growth that's important. I've compared a growing micro tumor to crashing a car into a brick wall at full speed. My whopper of a tumor is like slowly using a putty knife to scrape through that brick wall. So don't think about how small or big your tumor is, but the rate that it changes size. We feel for ya, X. Hang in there.
