Hi John,

I put up a post about 2 years ago regarding a dental problem I had. I also had
radiation treatments for my pit. tumor. 37 treatments 23 years ago. A couple of
years ago I went to get a tooth pulled. The oral surgeon read on my chart I had
radiation treatments for a pit. tumor. The Dr. wouldn't extract the tooth until
she got my radiation
report from the hospital. She told me there is a danger of osteoradionecrosis
(I'm sure I got that wrong) she explained the radiation can reduce the blood
flow in the lower jaw and prevent healing after extractions. It was determined
I was on the borderline for safety but I had the extraction done and everything
went fine.

I haven't heard about other dental problems.

Mike
