I just checked in this change myself. Also, as part of this change, the build now generates version.jsp and version.js. I basically just gutted this entire project. It was no longer being correctly packaged as a WAR, and the code was pretty stale (hasn't been touched in a while). We should probably create a new web test app that can be correctly packaged and more thoroughly tests the web query code. Please let me know if you have any questions.
