Hi,

I should probably have looked at the mailing list before jumping into
working on the 2.3, but whatever.

I'm currently working on splitting the non-debian/patches-contents of
diff.gz into separate patches, while at the same time getting rid of
whitespace-only changes (mostly already done, diff -b/patch -l ftw),
and copyright changes. That's most likely still useful for what you
did to get .16 working.

Btw, I'm all in favour of only storing debian/ in svn, that will make
the mess much easier to handle.
