This is how debunt-ified I am -- I had no idea that the cyrmaster binary was called anything else in any other distro. Is it really called "master" in rpm-based systems? This seems like a terribly unfortunate global name to use if for no other reason than it's so generic.

Your idea for a cyrus-imap-tool seems like a good one -- are you thinking something like a shell script run with flags; e.g.

   cyrus-imap-tool -e reconstruct -- -m
?
