I will be following up to zones-discuss in the near future with a more
technically thorough exploration of the tradeoffs surrounding this
topic. While we need to do some decision making, I'd like to make sure
that we do so in an open and informed way.
This conversation has given me some good insight into what I'll need to
pull together in advance of that. I've already spoken to folks on the
VM team about how to quanitfy the VM efficiences of sparse zones; I'll
follow up with the ZFS team in the near future.
