There is another legacy branch coming relatively soon, so the above plan 
would
need to handle two legacy drivers.  The current legacy driver (96.43.05) 
supports
G2x GPUs and below.  The 173.14.05 driver which was released last week
will be the next legacy driver branch for G3x GPUs  when the 177.xx
driver is released (current sliding schedule is late August).

Do we believe it is worth the work to make IPS versions of the
legacy driver branches for 1x/2x and 3x GPUs, given the relatively
small attach rate of Solaris to Sun branded systems which used these
GPUs?
