Works quite well, in fact. Obviously, pkgsend to a second repository would change the timestamp and technically make it a new package, but apart from that, it works quite well as a replication tool. One thing to be careful about is that the downloaded files are still gzipped after pkgrecv and these need to be unzipped before pkgsend.
