It's possible -- Tom's been making sure that pkg(5) works on earlier releases of Solaris -- but you could hose your system if you tried to download packages for Nevada (or opensolaris) onto an S10 system. I don't know whether the sunfreeware or blastwave repositories are publishing bits that are compatible with S10, or whether those are Nevada-only. You'll have to ask Steve and Dennis about that.
