Our Cu has an issue about their IPS package. The following are details:
We found some issues acroread package when installed via IPS repository.
Though it seemed that acroread got installed correctly after replacing
"?" with corresponding exact values for directories, we found that
Link files were not created at all, hence reader is not getting launched.
On investigating, we found that "manifest" file is not created
correctly. It does not contain entry for the links, whereas in other
packages (provided by opensolaris.org), manifest file has entry for
the links correctly.
Is there anything extra we need to do to while creating package so
that manifest file contains entry for the link?
One more small issue was: Our manifest contains the entry for the
"pkginfo","pkgmap",etc information files, whereas in other packages,
it does not have entry for the any such file.
Can you help us to resolve these issues?
