I was going to suggest -n here, too, a la head/tail, prstat, etc.  -n is
useful as a dry-run option for commands that modify stuff, but search
doesn't do that -- and I don't think anyone would confuse it with one that
does -- so -n can be reappropriated for something else.  -z makes me think
of zones, which would almost make sense here.
