This is a great change - we've been waiting for this for some time.
Please consider these comments.
1. I'm wondering if pkgrecv is an appropriate name for this anymore.
Maybe pkgcopy might be better.
No, I think it works. pkgrecv is receiving, where it can receive *to*
though is up for grabs :)
Remember that you can still use it to pull down the raw contents of a
package into a directory without republishing it.
3. ditto on Stephen's comment about the env vars.
As I said before, the env vars didn't exist before, but I've renamed
4. Please state in the manual page that a file:/// URI is allowed for
the source repo, or at least show one example using it that way.
t_pkgrecv.py:
It should be a given that any repository that can be used normally
should be usable here. I prefer to document limitations rather than
explicit functionality. As such, I'll add a brief example.
