IPS probably lacks this feature, but another very useful capability in debian is the ability to have mutually exclusive packages which deliver overlapping files. An easy example is multiple packages which deliver /usr/lib/sendmail http://packages.debian.org/lenny/i386/postfix/filelist http://packages.debian.org/lenny/i386/exim4-daemon-heavy/filelist ... -- Jyri J.
