Regarding the issue below:

I disabled Contrib (in addition to Extra which was already disabled) and
the problem went away. I then re-enabled Contrib and the problem has not
come back. <shrugs> Whatever.... It's all good now. Should the problem
return I'll pay closer attention and file a bug.
