I noticed that pkg now supports changing facets. During the Desktop consolidation's transition delivering IPS packages, I'd like to get rid of the SUNWgnome-l10nmessages* and SUNWgnome-l10ndocuments* packages that were always a pain to create and don't fit in the IPS world. Is it time to use facets yet?
I guess the first question is if/when the installer will be able to select locales using facets. The next question is facet naming, is this document current? http://src.opensolaris.org/source/xref/pkg/gate/doc/facets.txt Do other consolidations plan on using facets any time soon?
