This includes comments from both Danek and timf off list. I'd appreciate
if someone could take a look at my attempt to explain the regexp for
FTERM and let me know whether it just makes things more confusing or
not. Other comments are welcome of course.
Once that gets worked out, I plan to put this back unless other issues
come up.

15284 pkg search should respect \ as an escape character for :
15407 query classes should properly propagate __repr__ calls
This fix is focused on fixing an issue with colons being both a field
delimiter in search and a separator in smf fmris which may soon start
being indexed. It uses the simple expedient of forcing the user to
escape those colons which are part of the token instead of being a
field delimiter.
