Agreed that this probably should be image-configurable.

that has one disadvantage, zfs snapshots are not visible in the normal
file system namespace, ie. invisble for df(1m), /etc/mnttab. even zfs list
doesnt display if not asked for with -t all or -t snapshot much like
beadm list which needs -a.

leaving just a dangling snapshot behind has a good chance of getting
forgetten over time because of its "invisibility".

just a thought.
