On my laptop:

% pkg publisher
PUBLISHER TYPE STATUS URI
solaris origin online http://ipkg.us.oracle.com/solaris11/dev/
...

This works great when I'm punched in. When not punched in, is there
any way to force pkg(1) to failover to a repo on my local LAN (in case
I'm at home)?

Looking through the pkg man page, I thought maybe setting up the LAN
repo as a mirror might be the right approach. Not surprisingly, with
a mirror set up, pkg(1) complains:

% pkg info -r data/docbook
pkg: Unable to contact valid package repository
Encountered the following error(s):
Unable to contact any configured publishers.
This is likely a network configuration problem.
http protocol error: code: 404 reason: Not Found
URL: 'http://ipkg.us.oracle.com/solaris11/dev'. (happened 4 times)

Is there any way to specify a failover repo to try if the first is not
accessible?

Thanks,

Steve
