yep, fwiw, in addition to /var/pkg I just discovered another 500MB in
/var/cache/pkg owned by pkg5srv
and after the /var/pkg/publisher/solaris/file cleanup
/var/pkg went down to 430MB
making /var 1GB
so now what do we cache in /var/cache/pkg ?
/var/cache/pkg is the default cache directory for the sysrepo service.
It stores cached data for zone operations.
See pkg.sysrepo(1m).
